ETV-R

The ETV-R gearbox was developed specifically to mate with the Honda B-series engine (B16, B17, B18, B20, B21).  3MO have developed a simple concept by re-mapping their ETV gearbox in order to keep our standards while offering a 100% specific product.  The starter is repositioned at the front to free up the selection area.  The engine spacer is as short as possible to avoid any interference between the cassette casing and the side member.  From its first laps in 2018, the ETV-R conquered its audience with the very fast Irish rallyman Gary McNamee.  The machine was launched and the ETV-R now equips many Honda Civic, Integra or other CRXs.  Its high torque capacity (350 Nm with short torque and up to 500 Nm with long torque) makes the ETV-R naturally eligible for many applications, while the integrated oil pump function allows you to tackle high revs motors without fear for your transmission.

In order to optimize the staging according to your application and your technical data (motorization, tires, etc.), multiple reduction ratios are available for each report and more than 10 cylindrical references are in the range according to the technical need of your project.

A quad-disc version (16 friction faces) of the self-locking differential is available for the most demanding projects on this point.  The standard tri-disc version (12 friction faces) with 40 ° / 60 ° (or 30 ° / 60 °) shells already offers a high-end self-locking device that will meet your needs in 90% of cases.  Since 2019, our differentials have been fitted with new molybdenum-coated friction discs.  Molybdenum is a high performance friction metal.  It has a high level of elasticity and improves the characteristics of steel at high temperatures: better progressiveness, higher coefficient of friction, longer service life.

Additional technical information

  • The ETV-R gearbox is defined for a ceramic single-disc clutch or Sintered double-disc Ø184mm max; with clutch disc (s) type 1 "x 23 splines.
  • The original flywheel cannot be kept because it is not compatible with a rigid clutch Ø184mm. We recommend the use of the TTV flywheel.
  • The box is designed to accommodate standard tulips (not supplied): Peugeot Citroën Boxer / Jumper in 41 grooves. Reinforced tulips cut in the mass can be advised according to your project.
  • For the installation of the hydraulic declutching system, the installation of a hydraulic transmitter (minimum Ø 0.7 ") at the level of the clutch pedal allows the transition to be made at a lower cost.
  • It is imperative to install an adjustable end stop on the clutch pedal, because the hydraulic stop does not have an output stop.
  • Depending on your application and the technical characteristics of your vehicle, an oil radiator will be recommended.  In general, we recommend a 13 row radiator, 210x98x50mm with AN6 inlet / outlet fittings.
  • It is imperative to use 75W140 oil type - we highly recommend the Motul Gear Competition 75w140.  Oil Capicity 1.4L + oil cooler capacity.
