Case Study: AP Racing brake upgrade

As an official AP Racing outlet, we have become one of the go-to firms across the UK and Ireland for AP Racing products and Irish Championship Circuit Racing ace Ulick Burke came to us for help with his ITCC class Honda DC braking system.

• Ulick wanted to upgrade his Honda's braking system with better feel, performance, durability and effectiveness which could cope with the rigours of a tough touring car style race. We got work, creating custom made brake disc mounting bells and caliper brackets designed in house to suit his current setup and hubs, where we mounted large AP fully floating ventilated brake discs, 6-pot Pro 5000 R calipers to fit inside his 17" wheels.
  
  The set up was finished off with CL friction and was an instant success on track.

In the first outing with the new AP Racing equipment, Ulick managed to finish P3 on the International layout at Mondello Park before taking a sensational win in the second race.
