Greer gives Citroen Racing UK & Ireland its maiden victory

Jonny Greer and Kirsty Riddick gave the Citroen Racing C3R5 the perfect debut on home soil, by taking victory on its maiden outing at Bisphopscourt.

Greer took the lead of the event on stage two and was never headed from then on in, taking victory by over 33 seconds from the chasing WRC of Derek McGarrity and Paddy Robinson.

The popular Northern Ireland event was the first stage rally to take place since the COVID-19 pandemic called a halt on the sport and also marked the first competitive outing for the Citroen C3R5. Greer had previously carried out course car duties at the venue in the machine, but did not compete in the rally itself.

There was also success in Poland for Citroen Racing as Alexey Lukyanuk delivered the ultimate comeback victory to begin his FIA European Rally Championship title defence in style on ORLEN 77th Rally Poland, driving a Citroen R3 Rally2.
