Wilson bags Belgium podium

James Wilson  and Gavin Doherty secured their inaugural Junior Prestone MSA British Rally Championship podium with 3rd at last weekend's Ypres Rally in Belgium in his 208 R2. The event marked Wilson’s first mainland Europe outing, but kept out of trouble to take a career best BRC result.

 

Norwegian Steve Rokland and Tom Woodburn took fourth spot, narrowly missing out on the Michelin Motorsport Peugeot Sport Cup prize money after a trip into a ditch.

 

Marty Gallagher and Dean O’Sullivan retired within sight of the finish on stage 20 of 23 with spark plug issues and Will Creighton/Liam Regan went off the road on SS15.

 

Nabila Tejpar and Richard Bliss retired on stage 18 on their return to the Junior BRC.
