Meet The Team: Sean Topping

Not all people who work in the motorsport environment can claim to have a National title to their name, but one of Race & Rally's newest recruit Sean Topping can!

With decades of experience in rallying at every level, Sean recently joined the Lisburn branch as Sales Advisor and brings a wealth of motorsport knowledge to the team. 

Sean’s passion for rallying began at the 1995 Circuit of Ireland, where watching the iconic event for the first time sparked a lifelong love of the sport. From there, he followed rallies across Ireland before eventually stepping into competition himself.

Once old enough to compete, Sean completed his BARS test and began co-driving, quickly making his mark by winning his class multiple times in the Northern Ireland Rally Championship. His involvement in the sport extended beyond the cockpit too, taking on organisational roles including managing his local stage on the Circuit of Ireland for several years.

But the pull of competition remained strong. Returning to co-driving alongside Kyle White, the pairing enjoyed success across Ireland with numerous class victories before stepping up to the British Rally Championship.

Their breakthrough season came in 2023, when Sean and Kyle secured the Junior British Rally Championship title and finished an impressive second overall in the outright British Rally Championship standings, a remarkable achievement against some of the UK’s top crews.

Perhaps romantically, Sean achieved that feat in a Peugeot 208 Rally4 - the very thing he assists with here at Race & Rally!

Sean’s extensive experience in rallying competition, event organisation and championship-winning success makes him perfectly placed to help customers across all areas of motorsport preparation and equipment.

Away from rallying, Sean enjoys spending time with his wife Charlene and their two children, Ollie and Katie.
