Lazer Lamps for Rally and Motorsport

Lazer Lamps have strong motorsport roots and their rally lighting solutions are used at the highest levels of competition worldwide. Rally Pods are ultra-lightweight glass and carbon-fibre composite bonnet pods, designed to house high-performance LED driving lights in an aerodynamic, low-profile configuration. Vehicle-specific versions are available for popular rally cars including the Ford Fiesta, Skoda R5, and Citroën C3, with a fine-adjustment mechanism allowing quick vertical and lateral beam positioning. Complete pod systems with lights weigh as little as 1.5kg, offering significant weight savings over traditional lamp pods without any compromise on output.

Lazer Lamps Light Bars: Triple-R and Linear

The Triple-R range is Lazer's flagship long-range LED light bar series, originally developed for motorsport and now widely used across road, off-road, and commercial vehicle applications. Built around high-efficiency 5000K LEDs with 80CRI for sharpness and definition, Triple-R products deliver exceptional distance illumination with a perfectly tuned beam pattern. The Linear series offers a lower-profile, more aerodynamic alternative with reduced wind noise.

Lazer Lamps Driving Lights

For drivers who want a compact auxiliary driving light rather than a full light bar, Lazer Lamps offer several round and small-format options. The ST/T Evolution series is a versatile, mount-anywhere spotlight used extensively in rally as a corner pod light. The Sentinel, AIR, Glide, and RP Series cover a range of output levels, mounting configurations, and price points, suitable for everything from fast road driving to competition use. All share the same core Lazer Lamps engineering: vacuum-metallised optics, thermal management systems, and polycarbonate lenses with hardcoat lacquer for durability.

Grille Integration Kits

Lazer Lamps grille integration kits are vehicle-specific mounting solutions that allow a light bar to be fitted cleanly behind the front grille of a vehicle, bringing world-class lighting technology to everyday cars without external brackets or visible mounting hardware. Kits are engineered to match specific grille profiles, with wiring routed internally for a factory-fitted appearance. They're available for a growing range of popular passenger cars, 4x4s, and vans.

Frequently Asked Questions

Are Lazer Lamps road legal in the UK?

Most Lazer Lamps products carry UNECE Regulation 112 approval as a high beam driving light, making them road legal in the UK when used correctly, meaning switched off or covered when other vehicles are present. Some products use dual-output E-Boost technology, allowing them to run at a reduced, road-compliant output for on-road use and full output off-road or on stage. Always check the specific product's approvals and adhere to UK guidelines on auxiliary vehicle lighting.

When do I need a grille integration kit?

If you want auxiliary lighting on a daily road car without compromising the vehicle's appearance, a grille kit is the most straightforward solution. They're not necessary for rally or off-road builds where external mounting is standard, but for road use they're one of the neatest ways to install Lazer Lamps driving lights.

What is the difference between a light bar and driving lights?

A light bar is a single elongated unit housing multiple LEDs across its width, designed to deliver a wide spread of light across a broad field of view, well suited to road driving and long stages where left/right coverage matters. Driving lights are individual compact units, typically round or square, that produce a tighter, more focused long-range beam.

In rally, it's common to use both in combination: a light bar for spread and driving lights as corner pods for directional coverage into corners. For road use, the choice comes down to mounting position, vehicle compatibility, and the type of driving you're doing.

What beam pattern should I choose for Lazer Lamps Carbon Series lights?

It depends on where and how they're being mounted. The Spot pattern delivers a tighter, longer-range beam; the Carbon-6 Spot reaches 1 lux at over 950m, making it the choice for bonnet-mounted lights where maximum forward distance is the priority. The Drive pattern sacrifices some range for a wider left/right spread, which works better for corner pods where illuminating the apex and roadside matters more than straight-line distance. Many rally setups use a combination of both: Spot on the bonnet and Drive as corner lights. Browse the full Carbon Series collection for more options.
