Goodridge

Goodridge brake hoses, fittings and performance hose for race, rally, road and motorcycle builds. The braided range covers brake, clutch, fuel, oil, coolant and hydraulic lines, with hose, fittings and adaptors all stocked in one place. As Ireland's only official Goodridge G-Tech centre, we also build custom lines to length in store at our Lisburn and Donegal premises, assembled to Goodridge's specified quality standards.

Why Fit Braided Goodridge Lines

Goodridge build performance fluid transfer systems used everywhere from road cars to professional motorsport, and the same construction runs across our brake, clutch, fuel, oil, coolant and hydraulic lines.

A standard rubber brake hose swells slightly under pressure, and that flex is what gives the brakes a soft, spongy feel at the pedal. A braided Goodridge line replaces that flex with a stainless steel outer braid over a low expansion inner, so more of your pedal effort reaches the caliper, giving a firmer pedal and greater braking efficiency.

The braid also protects the line against the abrasion, stone chips and corrosion picked up in arduous conditions, whether that is a gravel rally stage or a road car in year round use. The same construction carries across the range for clutch operation, fuel and oil delivery, coolant and hydraulic circuits on cars, bikes and competition vehicles.

Goodridge Performance Hose and Fittings Features

  • Stainless steel outer braid for a firmer pedal and superior resistance to abrasion and corrosion.

  • Complete range of high performance hose covering brake, clutch, fuel, oil, coolant and hydraulic lines.

  • Reusable fittings on the 200, 600 and 811 series PTFE range, so lines can be rebuilt rather than scrapped.

  • Custom hoses assembled in store at our official Goodridge G-Tech centre.

  • Hose, fittings, adaptors, hardline and complete brake line kits all stocked in one place.

Custom Hoses Built In Store At Our G-Tech Centre

As an official Goodridge G-Tech Centre, we assemble Goodridge hoses in store to Goodridge’s quality standards.

We can assemble Brake, Clutch, Fuel, Oil lines and many more using Goodridge’s premium product range.

For brake and clutch applications up to Dash 4 size, we use Goodridge’s 600 series crimp fittings and PTFE hosing.

For fuel and oil application from Dash 6 to Dash 16, we use Goodridge’s G-line range of hose and fittings from their 711 series hose to their 960 Ultra lightweight hose.

All assembled hoses are pressurised in a specialist pressuring chamber, leak tested and part numbered ready for customer collection . Give us your spec and we’ll supply the hose and crimp fittings and build the line to Goodridge's standards.

Fittings, Adaptors and Hardline

The hose is only half the line. We stock the full Goodridge connection side to finish the job: banjo bolts and banjo fittings, male and female adaptors, crush washers, bleed nipples, replacement olives and hardline tubing with bundy nuts for the rigid sections of a brake or fuel run. Whether you’re building a one off line or matching an existing thread, you can pick the exact fitting, angle and thread size to suit the car rather than compromising on what fits.

Tools and Finishing for Hose Assembly

Assembling braided lines properly takes the right tools, and we carry the Goodridge tooling alongside the hose. Alloy AN spanners let you tighten fittings without marking the anodised finish, and the flaring mandrel helps seat the olive onto 600 series PTFE hose during assembly.  Alloy AN spanners let you tighten fittings without marking the anodised finish, and the flaring mandrel helps seat the olive onto 600 series PTFE hose during assembly, and aircraft grade 302 stainless lockwire secures fittings against vibration, which is often needed to pass scrutineering. Fireproof sleeve protects hose runs that sit close to exhausts or other heat sources, and hose finishers tidy the cut ends of 200 and 210 series lines.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which Goodridge brake hoses do I need?

For most road and competition cars the 600 series PTFE brake hose is the standard choice, and the same line suits clutch operation. If you’re unsure, contact us and we’ll point you to the right series and fittings.

What is the difference between 200 and 600 series?

The 200 series has a synthetic nitrile inner and is a smooth bore braided rubber hose, more commonly used for fuel, oil and general low pressure transfer. The 600 series has a PTFE inner and is the usual pick for brake and clutch lines.

Do you sell ready made brake line kits for my car?

For many popular models we stock complete Goodridge kits cut and fitted to suit that car, so you can replace the lines without measuring or building anything. If your car is not listed, we can build a custom set in store.

What tools do I need to assemble Goodridge hoses?

At minimum a set of alloy AN spanners to tighten fittings without marking them, and a vice helps. Hardline work also needs a flaring mandrel. If you would rather not build your own, we assemble lines in store. Read our blog on How to Assemble Goodridge Fittings for a full breakdown.

Do I need crush washers with banjo bolts?

Yes, banjo fittings seal with a crush washer on each side of the banjo. We stock copper and aluminium washers in the common sizes, and it is good practice to fit fresh washers each time the joint is opened.
