Frequently Asked Questions

What AP Racing brake calipers fit my car?

Fitment depends on your disc diameter, disc thickness, mounting centres, and wheel clearance. The CP9230 PRO SPORT range is suitable for most club-level cars with 310-355 mm discs. The CP6840 is the standard choice for R5 and S2000 applications.

What is the difference between AP Racing R2, R3, and R4 brake fluid?

R4 is the highest-performing fluid in the Radi-CAL range, designed for endurance racing and sustained high-temperature competition use. R3 sits in the middle, suited to professional competition with a higher dry boiling point than R2. R2 is the starting point in the range, covering track days, club racing, and clubman rallying. All three provide a significant step up from standard DOT 4 fluid.

Are AP Racing clutches designed for road cars?

AP Racing competition clutches are designed for motorsport use and have an aggressive engagement profile that makes them impractical for daily road driving. If your car sees both road and track use, consider running AP Racing clutch components with a road-friendly friction plate for the best balance.

Do you stock AP Racing brake discs?

We stock a selection of AP Racing Brake Discs/ Rotors for competition applications. AP discs are compatible with a range of caliper manufacturers, so availability depends on your disc diameter and specification. Contact us with your requirements and we’ll confirm what’s in stock.
